By plane
The closest airports to Tours are in Paris (Roissy Charles de Gaulle or Orly) or Nantes. There’s also an airport in Tours, but with limited international connections (London Stansted, Porto, Marrakech and Dublin). If you land in Paris or Nantes you’ll then need to take a train to Tours (see below)

By Train
Trains to Tours (e.g. from Paris Montparnasse station or Charles de Gaulle airport) often require a train change at a station called Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, which is not far from Tours. Please check! Do not worry about the seemingly short connection time between trains. This is normal. The train between Saint-Pierre-des-Corps and Tours is often a shuttle train and the connection between the two stations is well organized.
